We have some exciting news to share: ATETE Coffee has been featured in Women’s Insider.
The feature, “ATETE Cycle-Synced Coffee Reimagines Ritual,” tells the story behind ATETE and explores the idea that started everything:
If a woman’s cycle changes throughout the month, why should her coffee always stay the same?
For us, seeing ATETE featured in a publication dedicated to women, their stories and their experiences feels particularly meaningful.
Coffee is only the beginning
When we created ATETE, we weren’t trying to tell women that their morning coffee was a problem that needed fixing.
Quite the opposite.
We love coffee.
We love the ritual of making it, the smell of freshly ground beans, the first sip and those few minutes when a cup of coffee can create a small pause before everything else begins.
What we questioned was the assumption that the same thing should necessarily feel right every single day.
Our bodies aren't static.
Our energy can change. Our preferences can change. Even our experiences of taste and smell can shift.
ATETE grew from the idea that instead of constantly asking women to adapt, perhaps some of the rituals and products around us could become more responsive to us.
Four phases. Four coffees. One ritual.
Women’s Insider takes readers through the four coffees that make up the first ATETE collection: Rest, Rise, Peak and Calm.
Each was created with one phase of the menstrual cycle in mind.
Rest accompanies the menstrual phase with a comforting, lower-caffeine coffee.
Rise brings a brighter, fuller-caffeine cup to the follicular phase.
Peak offers a balanced, expressive coffee inspired by the ovulatory phase.
And Calm gives you the ritual of specialty coffee without the usual caffeine through the luteal phase.
But there are no rules here.
Your cycle is a guide, not an instruction manual.
Choose the coffee that works for you, your body and your day.
A bigger conversation about women
One part of the Women’s Insider feature particularly captures what we hope ATETE can become.
For generations, women have often been expected to operate at the same pace every day — while many of the natural changes we experience have been treated as inconvenient, private or something we simply shouldn't talk about.
We want to change that conversation.
ATETE starts with coffee because coffee is already part of so many women's lives. It gives us an opportunity to take something familiar and use it as a small daily reminder to check in with ourselves.
How do I feel today?
What do I need?
What sounds good to me?
Sometimes it really can start with something as simple as choosing your coffee.
